A favourite food tree of koalas. Evergreen with dark green gum leaves; white flowers in early spring & summer every year.
The bark of a Tallowwood is a reddish-brown colour revealing orange underneath and is flaky and soft.
Category / Uses: Tree: will help save koalas from extinction. A great shade tree. Bees love the flowers and produce delicious eucalypt honey. Construction industry uses tallowwood for multiple uses.
Position: prefers a sunny position.
Planting: cultivate soil before planting. Dig hole three times the width of the container. Remove plant from container and place into hole so the soil level is the same as the surrounding ground. Will grow in most soil types
