Golden Cane Palm Dypsis llutescens

Exotic (Madagascar)   | Full sun / part shade |  Indoors – filtered sum | H 8m  |  W 2.5m

A decorative and very hardy clumping tropical palm with up to a dozen golden coloured trunks, but no main trunk, that curve out from the base. This is a popular plant with landscapers as they look stunning around pools, patios and is an ideal potted palm. The Golden Cane Palm also make a very attractive indoor plant in a warm spot with filtered light.

Category / uses: ideal for landscaping around pool as a feature plant or lawn specimen in parks and gardens. Does well as a lush indoor plant.

Position / care:  prefers sunny to partly shaded position  outdoors; filtered bright light indoors. Well-drained soil, keep moist in summer and fertilise with a slow release fertiliser. Allow the top soil to become dry between watering and do not overwater. Overwatering is the quickest way to kill a Golden Cane Palm, especially if the soil does not drain well. Remove spent leaves as required to keep your plant looking its best
