Eumundi Quondong – Elaescarpus eumundi

A slow growing medium to large evergreen tree with a dense crown of dark green foliage; flushes of deep bronze-red new growth. Flowers in summer are deep cream with finely fringed petals and sweetly scented. Attracts nectar feeding birds. Produces decorative dark blue, round fruit.
Category / Uses: too large for smaller gardens but well suited to acreage planting, landscapes and parks.
Position/ planting: Plant in any well drained soil which is rich in organic matter and apply ann organic fertiliser in early spring. Keep well watered and mulched during dry periods.
