Large, evergreen, hardy, native feature tree with a rounded habit, non invasive roots and bird attracting white flowers (Sept -Feb), followed by decorative star-shaped seed pods.
Category / Uses: Plant as a feature, shade tree or privacy screen. Popular street tree.
Position / planting / care: Sunny/part shade position is ideal. Plant in a free draining soil rich in organic matter. Mulch and water well until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Tip prune while young to establish dense growth, and fertilise with slow release native fertiliser during spring. Tolerates light frost and is drought hardy.
